Pacific Island Inspired Color-Filled Wedding on the Florida Coast

The Wedding Vision:

Lian and Derek were truly such a blast to partner with! I was totally obsessed with the couple’s vision from the very first “get to know you,” call. The bride wanted to honor her Japanese heritage - wearing a red gown by East Meets Dress, but also letting her personality show by changing into a white jumpsuit for the after dinner dancing!

The couple both wanted a laid back, elevated backyard bbq style event; while still showing off all the best of the Florida landscape. Field Manor was the perfect backdrop for this! 45 acres of what used to be citrus groves sitting right on the Indian River - you couldn’t ask for a better backdrop. If you could guess, the design was color heavy - which made me little heart sing. There were reds, yellows, greens, and burgundy’s in all of the florals, pomegranates + magnolia leaves too! It all came together so beautifully. The color wasn’t reserved for the flowers though - the bridal party was all in mix-matched colors.

Remember the elevated backyard bbq vibes I mentioned? We brought in additional market lighting for the beautiful waterfront cocktail lawn, added multiple different lounge set ups for guests to enjoy, and a late night coffee truck served up warm drinks for the cool January evening. Personally I’m an always iced coffee girl, so I had an iced almond milk latte.

I could truly talk about this wedding forever; but I know you’re here for the pretty stuff, so let’s get to some photos!!
