Why should I hire a wedding planner?

Does having a planner really make a difference? Is it worth the splurge? What does a planner do, besides just help set up on the wedding day? Let’s talk about it.

What exactly does a wedding planner do?

You can ask this question to 50 planners and get a variety of answers; but if you ask me – we essentially take care of every single detail, vendor, design, important moment, etc, etc, of your wedding plans and make them a reality. Our job doesn’t start on wedding day; I am your go to from the moment you book! As your planner I’m here to help you figure out the logistics of planning your event, double check for any missing items or potential problems (and take care of them before they become a problem), secure your vendor team & handle all communications with the vendor team, assist you in making informed choices, and whatever else you may need. I’ll be here to listen to your rant, calm you down when it gets overwhelming, and be your personal hype man for the big day! On top of all that – planners protect your investment. Weddings are expensive, there’s no way around that. Your planner will be your best friend when it comes to not just saving money, but using your budget wisely & ensure your money is well spent.

I have plenty of help for my wedding day, I’m not sure if a planner is right for me.

While yes, in theory, there are plenty of friends + family willing to help out and to make sure your wedding set up goes smoothly; but what happens if something goes wrong? What if a vendor doesn’t come through? What if the linens are the wrong color? Having a wedding planner doesn’t just help catch those possible issues before they happen – they also solve the issues that may come up. Even if no issues pop up, then having a wedding planner will free up your family and friends to actually have fun getting ready with you on your big day! Another huge pro of having a planner comes at the end of the evening. When it’s time to break down your decor, handle the vendors coming back to grab their rentals, and making sure your personal belongings are cleaned from the venue – your planner is really the MVP.

Is a wedding planner really worth it?

I may be a little biased, but yes! As a planner I can tell you a ton of horror stories of last minute problems and how I’ve saved the day – but I’m not here to scare you into thinking a planner is a great investment. A wedding planner is a great investment for so many reasons, but in my opinion, the best part of having a planner is having someone from the industry 100% on your side. My main goal is to help you & your partner have an amazing wedding, the wedding of your dreams, whatever that dream may look like.
